From a total edition of 1000 copies, this is COPY NUMBER 9, ONE OF 100 COPIES WITH A MATTED ORIGINAL DRAWING (on very good wove paper) BY DIEGO RIVERA, A WONDERFUL LITTLE PENCIL SKETCH (14 x 9.8 cm) OF A GIRL WITH A BASKET ("Niña con cesta"). It is signed by Rivera.
This is obviously a preliminary sketch for a larger drawing or panting, and Rivera's autograph annotations indicate what colors he plans to use for the girl's sombrero, blouse, and skirt.
On the verso is an annotation ("Childmade"?) BY FRIDA KAHLO.
Folio. Loose as issued in original wraps. Wraps a bit worn and darkened. Internally clean.
