A stunning and unusual collaboration.
This watercolor was created (and signed) in 1919 by Ernst Gradmann, an architect and artist in Konstanz. Decades later, Burkhardt Beyerle, another artist living in Konstanz, bought it and added white acrylic.
On the verso Beyerle wrote:
"Gradmann 1919 Insel Reichenau
Architekt in Konstanz
von mir etwas überarbeitet mit Acrylweiß"
On fine wove paper.
In perfect condition.
